Coming to the event
Carlos and Anastasia have been dancing together for 5 years already. They live between Russia and Brazil and travel to different corners of the world to share their dance techniques, passion and style. Together they have taught and performed already at the biggest Brazilian zouk Festivals of Russia, Asia, Europe, Latin and North America:
Russian Zouk Congress & Championship, Rio Zouk Congress, Prague Zouk Congress, Ukrainian Zouk Carnival, Warsaw Zouk Festival, Shanghai Sensual Fest, Zouk MX, etc.
Carlos and Anastasia’s teaching method is based on MAC methodology, created by Alex de Carvalho. However, in 2019 they presented their author’s “3 box philosophy in Brazilian Zouk” that became the foundation of their Instructor course with graduated students in Russia, Brazil, Israel and Japan.
At the moment they are based in St.Petersburg where they are teaching regular Brazilian zouk and Samba de gafieira classes at “Ipanema Dance Studio” and helping to build dance communities around Russia
Their partnership started in January 2021 when they discovered a common purpose in their dance. They believe that dance is an instrument of transformation in the lives of many people.
Walter is dance educated by the Jaime Aroxa Dance School. He started his dance studies at 15 years old in the social project directed by Escola de Dança Jaime Aroxa called “Well from the head to the feet” in Rio de Janeiro. He dedicated himself simultaneously to Samba de Gafieira and to the Brazilian Zouk, which made him a stunning professional with excellence in both areas. Until today he visited more than 16 countries where he has shared his dance. Currently he travels the world teaching classes, performing shows and participating in competitions.
Larissa earned a bachelor degree in Physical Education from Federal University of Santa Catarina, she dedicated 16 years in technical training in Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary Classical Dances. She started her studies in Ballroom Dancing in 2014 and since then she has been dedicating herself as a Brazilian Zouk Dance teacher and dancer. Developed and coordinated research in dance pedagogy, students psychological factors, and using results to optimize students learning and experience the Brazilian Zouk Dance. She currently travels nationally and internationally, giving workshops and performing in partnership with Walter Fernandes.
